Peer Review Process

HIJ follows a double-blind peer review policy. All submissions are reviewed by at least two independent experts to ensure scientific rigor, originality, and relevance to the journal’s scope. The editorial board oversees the review process, ensuring ethical conduct and timely communication with authors.

Ethics and Publication Policy

HIJ adheres to the ethical principles outlined by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE). Submissions involving human or animal subjects must include relevant ethical approvals and informed consent documentation.

Archiving Policy

HIJ uses the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN) and LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) to ensure long-term digital preservation of its content. This ensures that all published articles remain accessible even in the event of system failure or discontinuation.

Sponsorship & Funding

Health Innovation Journal is published independently and operates on a self-sustaining model funded by Article Processing Charges (APCs) and institutional support. No external commercial sponsorship influences the editorial process or content.

Journal History

HIJ was launched in 2025 in Pakistan with a vision to become a leading voice in global health innovation. The journal is managed by an independent editorial board comprising national and international scholars, clinicians, and researchers.
